Thank you, Audrey. It's about maintaining balance. A former co-worker dropped by today to say she is scheduled for a biopsy next week - it appears she may have pancreatic cancer. Difficult times to be sure.
oh-oh... could be addictive... i mean, i wouldn't know about such things... like compulsively drawing or squiggling or such... i'm just speculating. la-la-la...
D&T, I am SO sorry to hear that your former co-worker may have pancreatic cancer. I would like to suggest, if you are comfortable sharing with her, an amazing book for "newcomers" to cancer. It is called Cancer is a Word, Not a Sentence by Dr Robert Buckman from Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto. As well, Crazy, Sexy Cancer Tips is good/fun. And of course Anticancer by David Servan-Schreiber.
The Buckman book was written for patients who are newly diagnosed, helping them to understand what they are about to encounter. I recommend it to everyone who is new to this horrible disease.
Have a wonderful weekend. Do lots of journalling/sketching.
