Thank you for sharing this. It was a wonderful listening experience and a valuable lesson.
When I first saw the picture I thought you had sent something comical. Like so many others, I sometimes judge quickly based on appearances and thereby miss the essence of something beautiful.
As I listened to this song by Fantine, one of the most heartbreaking characters in literature, I found myself hoping that Susan's dreams do not come to the same end. I wish that she is able to sing as she yearns, be loved for what she does so well and enjoy the feelings that, as Fantine observes, are sometimes lost in transit.
I dreamed a dream in time gone by When hope was high And life worth living I dreamed that love would never die I dreamed that God would be forgiving Then I was young and unafraid And dreams were made and used and wasted There was no ransom to be paid No song unsung, no wine untasted

I dreamed a dream in time gone by
When hope was high
And life worth living
I dreamed that love would never die
I dreamed that God would be forgiving
Then I was young and unafraid
And dreams were made and used and wasted
There was no ransom to be paid
No song unsung, no wine untasted
